The collection consists of papers relating to Glenn's exploration activities in Alaska. Included are his journal kept for the 1898 Cook Inlet expedition, an annotated, typed copy of his report of the 1899 expedition, photographs, his military service record (microfilm), and correspondence, reports, and other records relating to the Alaska Relief Expedition and the Cook Inlet and Copper River exploring expeditions (microfilm).

Edwin Forbes Glenn (b. Jan. 10, 1857, North Carolina-d. Aug. 5, 1926), Major General in the U.S. Army, graduated from West Point in 1877 and received his law degree in 1890. He served as judge advocate in several locations and as commander of exploration and relief expeditions to Alaska.
